About Abhay....!

Abhay Sharan is an Actor, Model, Theatre Facilitator, Artistic Director & Singer trained professionally in Forum Theatre, Play Back & Improv Theatre, Proscenium Theatre & Oppressed theatre. He is been trained on leadership acumen by BWW (USA) and certified Diploma in NLP. He started his professional career after acquiring his BA. Hons in Economics & Masters in Business Administration & Management and Master in Humanities and worked for more than a decade with giant corporate conglomerate at a senior leadership level.

Abhay as a performing Artist, has a rich experience of more than 21 years in performing arts, directed, staged award winning plays and worked with various eminent theatre artists, Institutions, Corporate and NGOs in the field of performing arts. He uses performance-based education program to educate life skills and soft skills using Theatre Acting as a methodology and associated as guest faculty with, Corporate, NGOs, Open house representatives & prestigious Institutions like NIFT, Christ University, Pearl Fashion Academy, Shell Corp, Kumarans Children Home to name a few. He has privilege of judging more than 100 plays at National Level Theatre Festivals & also curated a National Level Theater Festival Vasant Rangmela which was talk of the town. He has been invited as Guest of Honour by many institutions & corporate.

He has been successfully associated with Indian Television, Ad film & Film Fraternity. Some of his Ad Commercial brands he worked as model are Pepsi IPL for Star Plus, Manipal Hospitals, TMT Steeks, Benetton, Geetham University, Britannia, TVS Suzuki, Fortis Hospital, Go-Rapido, Airtel, 3M, Joy Jet Airways, Weigen & Leigh, JK White Cements to name a few. He has also been associated with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Tele films & Director’s Cut Bombay, for their prestigious Hindi serials/ soaps for Star Plus. He has been closely associated with music and showered with many appreciations and accolade.

Rangmanch believes in continuous exploring new modes of expression and share creative knowledge’s and seeks collaborations with diverse cultural bodies and artists with varied backgrounds, skill sets and interests. 

Courses: We offer our services in Applied Integrated Theatre Workshops(TAT), Corporate Theate Engagement (part of Employee Engagement), Corporate Theatre Intervention (L&D Program),Theatre in Education Workshops(TIE), which are exceedingly powerful exceedingly powerful experiential learning methodologies which reaches out to people of all age groups. We also extend our services in Music, Breand Management & Creation comprehensive Motion Pictures & Photography Services.

These are fun based techniques, which are designed to overcome inhibitions, stage fear, public speaking, outlet of emotions & unfolds your creative imagination and so on. Through this experiential leaning, we help people to connect and discover themselves. The workshop focus on core value – 

  1. Physical and emotional habits and powerful expression of a person’s /or character’s identity. 
  2. Combination of Power, Control, and Joy as the equation of performance, through games, exercises, and improvisational attitudes. 
  3. Development of the 4 expressive vocabularies inherent to each person: Verbal, Non-Verbal, Gestural and Postural. We use different games & exercises for it.

Objectives....!

  • The goal of Rangmanch Theatre program is to lead a participant to an independent evaluation of life events and choices that impact their work and professional – behaviour.
  • To engage with larger sets of audience and create awareness of advantages and nuances of theatre and bring in change in society through innovative programmes & performances.
  • To engage with more artists & people from diverse culture from all over the world.
  • To encourage strong interactions amongst artist communities from different traditions and cultures.

To foster sponsorships, grants & collaborations with cultural organizations, philanthropic bodies and government schemes both in India and abroad.

Theatre Workshops....!

Rangmanch conducts and facilitates performance workshops that are specific to the requirements of a vast range of clients; e.g., Children, Adult performers, Business Houses, Corporate, Educational Institutions, NGOs and other communities & organizations. These workshops help to guide participants towards new physical and theatre devising capacities, aiming to create a common creative vocabulary with other participants.

Theatre at Home ....!

We have taken theatre in schools, colleges, open houses, streets, drawing rooms, garden etc. to be used as alternative spaces for public theatre learning & performances. 

“If people do not leave homes to go to the theatres, we shall take theatre into their homes”    

Rangmach believes,It’s about learning how to unlearn, and how to play, in a creative and productive manner. The approach incorporates lots of relevant exercises and games
